Why This Matters
If filling the opening fixed the problem, why does the same problem keep coming back?
A promotion can do exactly what you asked it to do: fill an opening. But an opening on today's calendar is an outcome. Something happened before the calendar ever looked empty.
The Drift helps you stop at the visible gap, then trace backward to the earlier point where a good client relationship simply failed to acquire a next step.
Nothing had to go wrong for continuity to disappear.
What You'll Examine
Start with what is already happening in your business.
Your last ten first-time clients
How many came back for visit two, and what did the others leave knowing about what should happen next?
The thin week
Look backward from the opening instead of immediately solving the opening.
The missing continuation
A client can leave happy without a clear reason, timing, or path carrying the relationship forward.
The repeating pattern
See whether acquisition work is repeatedly compensating for continuity that quietly disappeared earlier.
The Shift
Your calendar shows where the gap landed. It does not always show where it began.
Instead of asking only what will fill the opening, The Drift asks you to trace the outcome backward.
FLOW
The Drift is one invisible pattern behind a visible business result.
Once you learn to trace the outcome backward, the calendar becomes more than a problem to fill. It becomes evidence to investigate.
